SURPRISE INTEREST IN ONE OF ephs PODCASTS
Tony Horwitz stumbled upon Mr. Francisco Sanchez, Eagle Pass High School Audio/Video teacher, while at Roberts’ House Restaurant in Eagle Pass Texas by pure chance. Tony was informed by Mr. Roberts that Francisco was an audio video teacher and that maybe he could be of some assistance in the author’s research of the region. As it turned out, one of Francisco’s A/V classes had produced a podcast on one of the topics Tony was researching.
HELP TRAVELING
Francisco’s family took the author to Piedras Negras and Guerrero, Mexico. Among the places they visited were the Plaza de Zaragoza, el Paseo Del Rio, and Plaza Marco II. While in Piedras Negras Mexico, they also observed the festivities of “Dia De Los Muertos”.

On Halloween 2016, the Audio Video class of Eagle Pass High School had the opportunity to ask questions of what it is like to have been a journalist in the middle east, and what it is like now that he is an author. Audio Video students who have a keen interest in mass media and journalism were more than delighted and had a array of other questions for the author.
