Heights Elementary is pleased to announce the Pillars of Character Award
Classroom recipients for the months of December and January.
Mrs. Losoya's 6th grade class is Bulldog character award recipient from the upper grade levels for the month of December representing the character trait of RESPONSIBILITY. Mrs. Losoya’s students are driven, motivated, and eager to learn. They are always prepared for class, and seek to set a good example for others. Mrs. Losoya’s students are helpful, cooperative, and willing to take care of peers and classmates. They realize that younger students look up to them, so they try to be good role models for others.
· Miss Maldonado's 1st grade class is Bulldog character award recipient from the lower
grade levels for the month of January representing the character trait of RESPONSIBILITY. Although they are very young, Miss
Maldonado’s students often set a great leadership example for their school. They are familiar with all of the rules and
procedures, and they make certain that each of their classmates is helpful and
on task. When they go to another
classroom, they have assigned seats, and they guide one another to their
seats. They respect others at all times,
and they model good behavior for others.
Mrs. Gomez' 4th grade homeroom class is Bulldog character award recipient from the upper grade levels for the month of January representing the character trait of RESPONSIBILITY. Since the beginning of the school year, other students and staff members noticed Mrs. Gomez’s class, and were impressed with their outstanding behavior. They are kind and respectful at all times, and they believe in the importance of setting a good example for others. They line up on their own, and monitor each other’s behavior. They often make it a point to ensure that classmates are considerate of the feelings of others. Mrs. Gomez’s class has set the bar high for other students – modeling appropriate behavior for the entire school.
