On Monday, October 30th, Mrs. Deluna's Pre-AP Chemistry classes at Eagle Pass High School used their knowledge and understanding of the arrangement, properties, and trends of the period table to do a gallery walk. The students were grouped randomly and began with a certain group from the periodic table.
They were given 1 to 2 minutes to answer a question about the periodic table that was projected for them to see. Then they rotated to the following station which had a different group from the periodic table.
With each rotation, the questions became more challenging and rigorous.
They went through a total of 9 stations and worked collaboratively to come up with the information for all of the groups on the periodic table.
The gallery walk served as a review and a way for the students to test their knowledge.
Way to go Eagles!
