Mrs. Venegas’s English III classes at C. C. Winn High School did a cross-curricular activity in which they studied literature from the Civil War Era.
This activity went hand in hand with what juniors are currently learning in their U. S. History classes.
The activity consisted of the students selecting one of the short stories or passages that they covered in class to conduct an in-depth analysis. The activity closed with an interesting presentation in which the students shared their analysis with their classmates.
Through this activity they were able to make more connections with their classmates about what they learned.
