Congratulations to the French and Spanish students from CC Winn High School who participated in the Foreign Language Competition at Angelo State University on Monday, April 9th.
Ten students per language were selected to compete in four major components: poetry recitations, prose reading, comprehensive exam, and extemporaneous speaking.
Students delivered narrations of preselected pieces of poetry in various levels in their target language. The objective of this competition was to encourage the study of foreign languages.
In an overall turn out French students advanced to Level One and Level Two and collectively the team placed 2nd.
The Spanish students competed as advanced native speakers and received 3rd place.
Madame Cardenas would like to congratulate all team members for the dedication and hard work at the competiion and throughout the school year.
