The Most Spirited School Competition will continue this year and ONCE AGAIN will be points based which are all outlined below. We are pleased by the immense response from the district and applaud everyone.
The competition will commence at Convocation, August 23rd 2018 and conclude May 3rd 2019 at noon. The Top 5 Schools as of May 3rd 2019 will be featured in the End of Year video, as well as recognized at the End of the Year Ceremony.
The Top 3 will receive a cash prize.
The district will award 75% and 50% of the DONATED winnings to 2nd and 3rd place.
For example, if the donated winnings are $500, then 2nd and 3rd would be awarded $325 and $250 respectively. It will be at the End of the Year Ceremony where the Most Spirited School will be announced and awarded with a cash prize, the coveted EPISD traveling Spirit Stick, and a banner to be hung at your school announcing your campus as “The 2018 – 2019 Most Spirited School”.
POINTS SYSTEM
• Pep Rally: 5 pts (20 pt Cap)
• Specialized Campus Event: 10 pts
• iVision filmed Event: 5pts (20 pt Cap)
• District blog information sent to iVision: 5pts
• District blog information sent to iVision with PICTURE: 10pts
• Videos sent to iVision (videos must be minimum of :30 seconds and be filmed! No photo collage videos will be accepted): 15 pts
• Community Involvement: 15 pts
All posts and videos must be sent in no later than 10 school days after the event.
Anything turned in later than that will not be posted and no points will be awarded.
Also, all blog posts must fall into one of three categories (accomplishments, classwork, and campus events).
When sending in your post you must label which category your entry falls into.
The first opportunity to begin obtaining points will be at Roll Call at Convocation. When your school is called during Roll Call, points will be awarded to the most creative and spirited campuses.
