Thursday, March 28th, Mrs. Aguirre’s 1st grade class at Darr rallied to support their new classroom friend.
The Mavericks recently hatched baby chicks for room pets, and sadly one chick was born with a handicap.
The baby chick named Champion cannot stand on his own without help.
Rather than shun the bird, the students have joined together to build a wheelchair for Champion.
Way to go Mavs!
We are sure Champion will be thankful for all that you are doing for him!
