Friday, September 13th, Mrs. DeLuna at Darr Elementary made September 11th a teachable moment for all her 2nd graders.
Most students in her class weren't aware of the tragedy that happened back in 2001, so she explained it with a children's book she had on the event.
After reading the book, the students wanted to create their own class book and so they illustrated pictures of what they learned and wrote a sentence about.
It was a learning experience these little ones.
