Wednesday, September 18th, the students in Mrs. Alva-Rodriguez's English III classes at Winn started their Writer's workshop using mentor text to start their Scholar of the Month Essays.
Students started their session by completing an career and interest survey to kick start their inspiration.
After a short quick-write prompt, the students analyzed mentor text for organizational strategies, syntax, and voice.
This continuing writing unit will culminate with their final essays due later this week.
