EPHS AP Physics Flying Pig Lab

On Wednesday, September 25th, Eagle Pass High School's AP Physics defied all logic and made pigs fly!
The students have been studying circular motion and had to calculate what centripetal force causes the pigs to fly in a circular path.
They calculated the angle, the period, the tension in the string, the force of gravity and the speed the pigs moved in a circle.
The students also varied the angle they launched the pigs to see how the radius of the path and the period would change.
