Memorial Junior High has reason to celebrate again and it is because of February 2015 Teacher of the Month, Alejandra Martinez. Ms. Martinez was
selected as a Semi-Finalist during the preliminary judging of the 2016 HEB
Excellence in Education Awards. Of the
1,400 applications that were received from all over Texas, 150 teachers, 50
principals, 18 districts, 24 early childhood providers and 13 school boards were
selected as semi-finalists. Ms. Martinez
received a certificate from HEB Chairman, Charles Butt, and $250 in HEB cards
to thank her for everything she does to inspire and enlighten young minds.
