Speaking Development Events and Area
X FFA Convention
On May 6, the Eagle Pass FFA traveled to Poteet to compete in the Wintergarden District Speaking Development Events (SDEs). A student must prepare a 6 to 8 minute speech on a topic related to agriculture. Students who competed were Eduardo De La Garza, Shawnee Betancourt, Karina Garcia, Daniela Molina, Yakelyn Mascorro, Karyna Mejia, Tonya Rodriguez, Jesse J Dena, Andrea Flores, Orlando Nava, Sebastian Adan, Gerardo Molina, and Jasmine Guerra. On May 11, Eagle Pass FFA Chapter traveled to
Robstown to compete and participate in the Annual Area X Texas FFA Convention. The incumbent Area X FFA Sentinel Officer
Alexis De La Garza represented Eagle Pass FFA and the Wintergarden District this 2015-2016 year. Congratulations to our new representative Karina Garcia who
was elected Treasurer of the Area X Texas FFA for the 2016-2017 year.
