Mavericks Invade Raider Land
On September 28 & 29 CC Winn took 52 seniors on a college trip. Mrs. Uriegas, College Advisor, organized this trip so that seniors can experience Texas Tech. The university welcomed them with open arms, ready to show them what Texas Tech is all about. Texas Tech students were ready to take them on a campus tour. As they walked around the campus they were shown where certain buildings were located, while, informing them with facts about them. They also were given fun facts about the traditions of Texas Tech. “Everywhere you turn you could see students bleeding red and black,” students stated. They also partook in watching the Red Raiders defeat Kansas State. This was an amazing experience that Mrs. Uriegas organized for the seniors to explore their options for college.
