On September 28, students of C.C. Winn High School and Eagle
Pass High School ventured to Austin to tour the campus of the University of
Texas At Austin. Upon arrival, students were greeted by campus students where
they were sent to the Student Activity Center to receive information regarding
the college and enrollment. After this, students were enlightened by dining at
one of UT’s cafeterias where they munched on whatever they desired.
On a satisfied stomach, students were then separated into
groups with their respective student
guides and were sent on a campus tour to experience a sense of college life.
Students were able to witness a variety of buildings with their respective
subjects and learn more about the history of UT and their customs.
Following this, the undergraduates were sent with guides who
took them to buildings based on their interests in college majors.
This was an opportunity to answer any doubts or questions
many had regarding their future majors and college duties.
The day ended with farewells and a plethora of excitement as
the trip produced a venue of consideration for college and a memory students
will never forget.
