This past Sunday, April 30, C. C. Winn's National Honor Society helped pick up trash that flew out of trash cans or that never made it into a trash can around the county lake and the baseball/ softball ground around it.
This initiative was led by senior member, Ivana Muza. Miss Muza noticed there was an abundant amount of trash laying around which hid the beauty of our town's lake. Muza began thinking of a way to help diminish the problem. She went into action and got in contact with the respective commissioner in charge of the area.
Arrangements were made so that Winn's NHS chapter could help the personnel in charge clean up the garbage around the lake.
After much dedication, Miss Muza's initiative has taken off, and now C. C. Winn's National Honor Society will be working closely with Maverick County to help preserve our lake's beauty.
Way to go Miss Muza and Mavericks!
