C.C. Winn High School senior, Lorena Aldape, was recently admitted and offered two grand scholarships on October 20th.
The Academic Recognition Award is a total of $22,000 given to students who have worked hard in their academic years, recognizing their astonishing grades.
Nonresident Initiative to Commend Excellence (NICE) is a total of $12,000 for nonresidents from the state of Iowa. Lorena is hoping to double major in computer science and computer engineering with a minor in French, being also accepted into the school of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State.
The Mavs wish her best of luck for the rest of the year and to follow.
