It is no secret that senior year in high school is stressful.
Whether it’s because of SAT testing, meeting FAFSA and college application deadlines, or writing college acceptance and scholarship essays, seniors have a busy year cut out for them. Students in Mrs. Mercer’s English IV classes at C.C. Winn High School are now ready to start writing their scholarship essays.
On Monday, October 9th, they received the visit of Scholarship Representative, Mrs. Lorena Alvarez. Students received pertinent information on scholarship due dates, expectations, and pointers that will help them produce more effective scholarship essays.
Students were receptive of pointers given to them and asked important questions that were answered both by Mrs. Alvarez and Mrs. Mercer.
It is important that students take advantage of the opportunities provided to them by our local contributors so that they can start paving their way to the bright future ahead of them.
With the help of the community and support staff alike, our students will receive the help they need to be successful.
