WHS Creates Bill

Thursday, November 29th, Mr. Hoffman assigned his AP Government class at CC Winn a group project.
The students were challenged to work together as a group of “legislators” and create their own bill.
As representatives or senators during the committee, the students had to all agree on to the bill or it would be terminated.
Isaac Covarrubias, introduced the class' bill to Mr. Ricardo Hoffman.
The bill was titled "An Act to Safely Introduce Workers into the United States" which was referred to Committee on Homeland Security.
The bill discussed how any person who enters or attempts to enter the United States outside of the predefined legal means will be selected to a particular area of manual labor needed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The assignment helped students better understand the process of creating bills.
