Friday, February 22nd, Mrs. Ibarra's 1st grade class at Graves celebrated Washington's birthday.
George Washington was an American political leader, military general, statesman, Freemason and Founding Father who served as the first president of the United States.
He commanded Patriot forces in the new nation's vital American Revolutionary War and led them to victory over the British.
The students learned all about the 1st president and was able to work on a George Washington timeline activity.
The class summed up the activity with tasty cupcakes in honor of President Washington's big day.
