WHS Learns to Be Kind

Winn High School is ready to close out this first semester with a bang!
Wednesday, February 20th, students from Mrs. Olivares-Wueste's Journalism classes divided up into groups and collectively came up with ten different dress up days with matching slogans all following a "positive" vibe.
The groups then presented their ideas to the class, where they discussed the themes and narrowed them down to their top five choices.
Student Council President Samantha Cardenas took these proposals and presented them to principal Jesus Diaz-Wever on Thursday, February 21st.
The approved days for Winn's 2019 "Positivity Week" are as follows...

Monday: Hawaiian Day—“Dude, be nice”
Tuesday: Teacher Look Alike DayOR Dynamic Duo Day— “You are never alone; You’ve got a friend in me”
Wednesday: Space Day—“Positivity is a universal language”
Thursday: Cartoon/Disney Day— “If you can dream it, you can do it”
Friday: Flashback Day—“Kindness never gets old”
