Tuesday, February 26th, Mrs. Losoya's 6th grade class at Benavides turned their poetry lesson up a notch.
The class utilized their doodle notes to find examples of figurative language around their classroom.
Figurative language uses figures of speech to be more effective, persuasive, and impactful.
Figures of speech such as metaphors, similes, and allusions go beyond the literal meanings of the words to give readers new insights.
