Friday, March 8th, Seco Mines Elementary 2nd grade classes transformed into an election!
Students in Mrs. Marissa Villarreal and Mrs. Moreno's classes campaigned for President were tasked to present a speech and political platform for their grade-level and school.
Candidates were very poised and well-prepared in addressing their peers!
After the presentations, each student was able to cast their vote for class president, class governor, and class mayor.
This Social Studies activity served as an extension of the voting process and modeled campaign work of all of the candidates in the running elections.
Congratulations to the newly-elected Miner politicians!
