Thursday, March 14th, Early College Academy students taking Art Appreciation at C.C. Winn High School and Eagle Pass High School visited the San Antonio Museum of Art and the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, TX.
The group of 55 students enjoyed an "Around the World" guided tour at the San Antonio Museum of Art followed by a "Museum Highlights" guided tour at McNay Art Museum.
Students discussed different pieces of art with their assigned docent and explored several exhibitions that fueled their interest in art.
Art Appreciation is the second dual credit class for ECA students and it is taken during 9th grade.
Through this class, students are exposed to the meaning of art, its different styles, mediums and artists.
Early College Academy applications are available on the district's website and are due on April 12th, 2019.
There will be an informational parent meeting on April 2nd at 6:00 pm in the Memorial Junior High Cafeteria and on April 3rd at 6:00 pm in the Eagle Pass Junior High Cafeteria.
