WHS Preps for AP

In an effort to prepare students both for College Board AP courses and for their state mandated exam, students in Ms. Cruz’ English II Pre-AP classes at CC Winn were tasked with writing an argumentative analysis on Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Pit and The Pendulum”. 
Students were asked to respond whether or not the narrator was sharing an experience that truly happened to him or if he was simply delusional.
Students used elements such as the short story’s setting, sensory details, and instances of figurative language to elaborate on their argument and defend it. 
Thursday, February 28th, students typed and produced final copies of their arguments to turn in for revision.
