WHS Phlebotomy Remains Cautious

Thursday, April 4th, C.C Winn High School´s Phlebotomy class went through the process of how to properly put on and remove personal protective equipment.
They learned how to remove the contaminated gear which consisted of a mask, gown, hair net, gloves, goggles, and shoe covers.
The mask protects the transmission of infectious agents through the air.
The gloves prevent the infections and bacteria from person to person.
The gown prevents any blood or body fluids from soaking through the healthcare associates clothes.
The students are excited to continue to learn how to assist their patients and the precautions to keep them safe while doing so.
