May 20th - 24th, Eagle Pass High School came together and raised donations for a Piedras Negras man by the name of Pedro who needed assistance.
Unfortunately, Pedro passed away on the day they were to deliver the food and toiletries.
On his behalf, and on behalf of all the people who kindly donated the articles, EPHS StuCo sponsors Carmen CastaƱeda and Dolores Rodriguez, decided to take the collected items to Casa Bethesda, an orphanage for special needs “children” in Piedras Negras.
Monday, May 27th, they took the first batch of items to the manager of Casa Bethesda, Omar Alvarez.
Tuesday, June 4th, they will be making another delivery.
At this time, they will also be touring the facilities and meeting the residents.
Many thanks to everyone that helped make this possible.
