As the school year closes off, students in Miss Cruz' English II Pre-AP classes at Winn were tasked with recognizing an individual on campus that often times goes under appreciated for the hard work that they put in day in and day out.
Monday, May 27th, students decided to interview custodial staff, cafeteria staff, and other individuals they felt went above and beyond their duties to make their campus an enjoyable place to be.
After that, each student put together a basket filled with goodies that would bring a smile to their chosen individual.
Between May 30th and June 4th, baskets were delivered and the students learned how a small "thank you" can go a long way.
They were met with many appreciative hearts.
Miss Cruz applauds her students for helping these unsung heroes feel appreciated and providing them with motivation to wrap up the school year.
