Tuesday, August 27th, Mrs. Garza's 4th grade class at Seco Mines Elementary was introduced to their 1st novel of the year.
The Miners started reading Kate DiCamillo's "Because of Winn-Dixie".
"Because of Winn-Dixie" follows Opal as she navigates a new town and school with the help of adopted stray, Winn-Dixie.
The Miners enjoyed the tale and can't wait to read more about Opal and Winn-Dixie's exploits.
