On September 11, 2019, CC Winn student Mayte Ortiz wrote an appreciation letter to her former English II teacher, Mrs. Flores, for always being so supportive and for believing in her and her writing skills.
Mayte wrote a thank you letter and accompanied it with her favorite chocolate bar to make her day a little sweeter.
Mrs. Flores' impact on Mayte's life is of great significance because Mayte is now in Dual Credit English and is considered a brilliant writer and this could not have been done without the solid foundation Mrs. Flores provided when she was a sophomore.
Mrs. Flores has shaped Mayte to be the writer she is today.
