WHS Will Never Forget

On September 11, 2019, students at WHS in Miss Cruz' AP English Language and Composition classes were given an opportunity to analyze visual rhetoric.
They were provided with a visual representation of how impacting the 9/11 attack in America was.

When students walked in, the classroom's walls were covered with more than 100 pages which contained the 3,000 names inscribed on the 9/11 Memorial.
Students analyzed the historical allusion made in the poem "Two Thousand One, Nine Eleven".

They also watched clips of 9/11 footage and analyzed well-known images from 9/11.

They then completed a rhetorical analysis on George W. Bush's "9/11 Address to the Nation".
Although, Miss Cruz' students were not yet born during this tragic event, the rhetoric inspired behind it will live on forever.
