On January 14, WHS early college academy students who have enrolled in the Dual Credit Texas Government course are working on writing a two-page essay on political issues, which is on the Executive Order from Trump concerning refugees in Texas. Having students associate themselves with politics increases their knowledge of what's going on in the world. In these college courses that are taken in high school, students will have a chance to get ahead in life and have an idea in which they can choose their career path early.
