Wednesday, September 26th, the 3rd grade students in Mrs. Valdez' class at Sam Houston had a terrific time reviewing common and proper nouns.
The students integrated technology into their review by using Kahoot and playing a game to identify the nouns.
A common noun names general items.
The important thing to remember is that common nouns are general names.
Thus, they are not capitalized unless they begin a sentence or are part of a title.
Proper nouns, those that name specific things, do require capitalization.
