CC Winn High School has created a Wall of Fame, where Maverick Alumni are featured.
These alumni send words of wisdom to the Mavericks and explain their journey.
Tuesday, November 8th, Kristal Sanchez was the 3rd Maverick featured on the Wall of Fame.
Her words resonated with the students and WHS is proud to call her a Maverick!

Pursuing your dreams will be difficult. It will not be easy and there will be struggles along the way. But, YOU CAN DO IT! All it takes is some GRIT! You have to push yourself even when you feel like giving up or when you feel that circumstances seem to be against you. You have to believe in yourself! Stop asking yourself whether you are good enough or whether you are capable of attaining your dreams because, in short, YOU ARE! It is easy to talk yourself out of taking chances and going after what you want, but you have to find the courage to push through despite everything life will throw your way. One way to make things less stressful and less difficult is to have a support system - for me, this was my family. Learn to lean on your support system for words of advice and motivation; they want to see you succeed! Also, do not compare yourself to the rest of the world (this includes your friends). You are each trying to find your way in your own way. At some point you will manage to pick your head up from the books and you will notice that time has definitely passed, so don’t be afraid to take breaks, to breathe, to have fun, and to spend time doing things you love. I promise, when you reach your goal, and you reflect on how life brought you to that moment and all the obstacles you may have had to overcome along the way, it is the most rewarding feeling ever! You can do this! Stay positive! We are all rooting for you! Go Mavericks!
