Monday, November 12th, the students in Mrs. Gutierrez' Science class at Memorial Jr. High conducted a “Cell Lab”.
They Mavs used candies to represent each organelle found in the cell.
The class has been learning about the cell organelles and their functions.
This was the perfect way for them to really sink their teeth into what they had learned!
Cytoplasm: frosting
Red gummies: mitochondrion
Green gummies: chloroplasts
Licorice: cell wall
Cookie: nucleus
Blue skittles: vacuoles
Twizzlers: cell membrane
