Sunday, November 11th, students from C. C. Winn Air Force Jr. ROTC were on site to raise the American flag at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at the Maverick County Lake.
During the ceremony, the AFJROTC received a certificate of appreciation from the Eagle Pass Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) for their continued support and participation in community events.
C.C. Winn’s Colonel Greg Stankewicz was the guest speaker for the Veterans Day ceremony,
He touched on the contributions that Veterans have made for our society, as well as the sacrifices their families have incurred as well.
The Thundering Maverick Band considered it a great honor and privilege to be a part of celebrating all Veterans from our community
