Monday, February 18th, Mrs. Felan’s 1st grade class at Darr were hard at work learning about George Washington.
George Washington was an American political leader, military general, statesman, Freemason and Founding Father who served as the first president of the United States.
He commanded Patriot forces in the new nation's vital American Revolutionary War and led them to victory over the British.
They learned about Presidents' Day and got to work on a George Washington timeline activity.
They also had a fun activity where each student had to come up with a fact about the first president!
