Wednesday, February 6th, Ray Darr 6th grade was visited by Kristina Olivarez from S.C.A.N.
S.C.A.N. stands for Servicing Children and Adults in Need and they provide individuals with access to a variety of evidence-based prevention, intervention, and treatment services that are delivered by highly trained and caring staff members.
Mrs. Olivarez is based out of Laredo, Texas and spoke with Mavs about how our brain works.She played "Simon Says" with the students to give them a great hands-on example.
