Tuesday, February 5th, Mr. Cruz’ Pre-AP Physics class at CC Winn decided to put all their knowledge to the test in a real life simulation.
They have been learning about projectile motion and trajectory for the last week and brought out rockets to experiment their hypotheses.
Together, the class traveled to the soccer fields on campus and launched their rockets, all the while measuring distances, angles, and time.
They used different angles to determine maximum height, velocity, and the range of their rockets while taking into account air resistance.
The Mavericks are enjoying all these hands on activities and real life simulations in Physics class.
