CC Winn Student Council's Energy and Environment Committee was hard at work February 4th - 8th!
StuCo is trying to raise awareness about conserving energy with a few reminders for the staff.
StuCo would like you to know that simply turning off your lights, lamps, document cameras, Promethean boards, computers, etc. when you are not using them, or when you leave your classroom for the day or weekend, will save thousands of kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
WHS has hundreds of lights on in the school each day, and all of Maverick Nation can do their part to try to save on the bills they don't pay.
As of Friday, February 8th, every single classroom at Winn had a little checklist above their light switch, so they can stop and make a mental check.
