Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th, seniors at Winn High presented their mini projects on The Canterbury Tales.
Mrs. Mercer's class analyzing characters and focused on The Prologue of The Canterbury Tales.
Students analyzed Chaucer's use of direct and indirect characterization to answer a series of questions on their assigned characters.
They paired up and were assigned three different characters of The Prologue.
After conducting close reading of each of the characters, they then chose one to bring to life through a detailed sketch depicting the character's physical appearance.
This activity allowed the students to have a deeper understanding of the complexity of The Canterbury Tales and allowed them to appreciate the magnificence of his literary ability.
