Thursday, March 7th, students from CC Winn's Early College Academy, Health Science Academy and Engineering Academy visited Memorial Junior High School to invite 8th grade student to join the three high school academies available.
Students, Francisco Gonzalez, Chantal Talamantes, Eduardo Menchaca and Valeria Longoria, discussed their experience at WHS and how the academies have helped them develop skills to be better prepared for college.
Mr. David Camarillo Executive Director for Instruction, Mrs. Maria Uriegas College Advisor, and Miss Tanya Tijerina College and Career Counselor, also addressed the 8th grade students on the benefits for being part of the academies and the application process.
C.C. Winn High School encourages all 8th grade students to turn in their applications by April 12th and invites parents to attend an informational meeting on April 2nd at 6:00 pm at Memorial Junior High Cafeteria.
