Thursday, March 14th, CC Winn's UIL Mathematics Team participated in the Pi-Day Challenge and recited as many digits from the famous Pi-number as they could.
Carlos Miranda took a victory over the 2 District champions Jan C. Rubio (2nd) and Isaac R. Covarrubias (1st) by achieving the 82 digit mark.
Accuracy during the contest was verified by their coach Ms. P. Flores.
The Computer Science contestant (and former Mathematics District Team Member) practiced for over a year to achieve this mark and is currently working on reaching the 100 digit mark.
With the District competition coming close to the team, they all prepare to take their 3rd year as a team.
