Thursday May 2nd, the local chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma - Gamma Rho hosted a painting scholarship fundraiser led by DKG president and Art teacher Dolores Rodriguez at the Victorian House from 6 to 8:30 pm.
Over thirty attendees showed up for a fun and entertaining painting experience.
Snacks were provided including charcuterie trays, sandwiches, chips, fruit, candy and punch.
The goal of the event was to raise funds for scholarships to be awarded this year to future female educators from both local high schools.
Gamma Rho, Eagle Pass' Delta Kappa Gamma chapter, is comprised of teachers, counselors, and administrators employed by EPISD.
The members are Maria Chacon - Vice President, Arianna Celedon - Secretary, Tracy Mynar - Treasurer, Dionni Olivares - Parliamentarian, and members Margarita "Margie" Olivares, Lana Harper, Rosy Castillon, Veronica Chacon, Maria Soto, Sylvia Villaseñor, Lucia Gonzalez, and Marissa Garza.
The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
