Continuing their Maverick commitment to do their part in saving the Earth, CC Winn English II students in Mrs. Idalia Salinas’ class came up with the idea to gather water bottles from around school.
Thursday, May 2nd, they decided to recycle some, however with others, they decided to reuse them in a new way.
Remembering they had used biodegradable pots to plant seeds, they cut the water bottles in a half and used them to plant a variety of seeds including fruits, herbs and flowers.
The students are so excited to watch their new plants grow.
