On Monday, January 6th, C.C. Winn Student Council President Samantha Cardenas and Vice President Yazmin Rivera came to school on their last day off to welcome back the teachers on their Teacher Work Day.
Student Council purchased five "roscas" to distribute amongst the school, and placed one in each break room (copy room) for the Maverick staff to enjoy. The girls even walked one over to Frank Chisum so that the teachers didn't have to take any additional steps to their special treat! The officers then cut the "rosca" into slices and placed napkins making it easy for the teachers to "grab and go". An announcement was made to address them to the break rooms to enjoy a piece of the "rosca" before heading out for the day to perhaps continue to celebrate "Dia de los Reyes". Go Mavericks!
