5th Grade Stallions Brave the Wild

Armando Cerna's 5th grade students went on their annual 3 day and 2 night science trip to Forest Glen Camp in Huntsville, TX on Oct. 18th - Oct. 20th and took their learning to the great outdoors.
The list of their activities included tree search, habitats, reptiles/amphibians, canoeing, archery, fish study, entomology, pioneer life, predator/prey, hot air balloon, nature journaling, and microlife study.
The goal for this trip was to give students an opportunity to explore science in an outdoor setting.
It exposed them to several science TEKS to better prepare them for the Science STAAR.
It was a great learning experience for all.
Go Stallions!
