Winn's Maverick Nation likes to keep up with alumni in a section titled 'Mavericks Across Texas'.
These alumni are inspirations to many of the current students.
This week, the Mavericks would like to feature Cassandra Flores.
Flores is currently attending Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, TX on a softball scholarship.
Throughout her high school career, she was awarded first team all district all four years of high school, and awarded the district's most valuable player her senior year.
Cassandra recently stated, "I had my first tournament this past weekend in Spring, TX and faced different Division One college softball teams such as U of H, Lamar University, and Texas Tech. Although we all come from different towns, we all know what we are here for and that is to play softball but most importantly get a degree. Our team is united and are closely coming together as a team. Our main goal is to win the national championship."
The Mavs would like to thank Cassandra for showing them that hard work and determination pays off!
