CC Winn is proud to introduce this year’s Frontera Film Festival Pub Tour Team!
Each year, Mr.Fuentes carefully and strategically chooses six individuals out of his Advanced Practicum Media Tech class to represent C.C Winn High School on a three day trip across south Texas.
This year the president is Khiara Estrada and the vice president is Jaime Fuentes.
The other ideal individuals on this team are Suzy Perez, Andrea Hernandez, Sebastian Rodriguez, and Janet Jasso.
All together, this team will set out on a mission to promote the Frontera Film Festival occurring here in Eagle Pass. Their objective is to persuade and encourage individuals to submit their own personal films into the festival, where they compete against other schools in Texas for awards on their films based on different categories.
The film fest was first established by Mr. Fuentes himself back in 2010 to provide a platform where students can show off their efforts in media and since then more and more entries have been submitted every year.
Each year they travel to different regions in Texas on their tour and this year they are traveling through the Laredo region.
Their goal is to attend eight different high schools and the tour will take place November 6-8.
Each individual is looking forward to seeing an abundance of entries and next year, the Frontera Film Festival will take place on May 2018.
