English II students in Ms. Cruz's class at CC Winn High School were assigned a "Blast from the Past" research project.
Students were expected to
research
specific, well-known historical figures which included finding
some of the contributions
each one of these
figures
made to International Human Rights or Social Justice
.
Some of the figures included were Alexander Hamilton, Amelia Earhart, and Nelson Mandela (to name a few).
Using both online and book resources provided by Winn's Library, students successfully researched all required information and presented their findings to their peers.
As students prepare for the English II STAAR Exam being administered on Thursday, April 12th, teachers are taking creative approaches to help students reinforce and review what has been taught in class.
