Miners Discover Inherited Traits

March 26th - March 28th, the Miner 5th graders investigated inherited traits.
Inherited traits are described as unique characteristics that make you who you are.
Every person is a unique individual because they possess some traits that were pass on from their parents for example eye color and height.
Not only do people inherit traits from their parents but also plants and animals such as stripes on a tiger or spines on a cactus.
The Miners realized that they have their own unique features such as dimples, dark hair, colored eyes, hitchhikers thumb and the ability to roll their tongue.
Students enjoyed exploring their own physical characteristics and comparing them to their classmates!
